01 / CUSTOM APPLICATIONS
Custom applications for the way you work
When spreadsheets, email handoffs or existing software don’t fit, build around the process you actually need.
Discuss an applicationBuilt around your need.
For HR and Total Rewards teams, associations and other organizations with a defined workflow to improve. My Total Rewards background informs specialist HR work; every application starts with understanding your actual process.
What we can work on
- Understand the work. Workflow review, users, requirements, data sources, and acceptance criteria. Your team helps shape requirements and tests the agreed workflow.
- Build what is agreed. A prototype for feedback, followed by the specifically scoped application.
- Prepare for use. Agreed access roles, testing, approved deployment, orientation, and handoff.
Ongoing care is part of the plan
Every application scope includes a plan for hosting, maintenance and support. We agree hosting and database responsibilities, maintenance, support channels, included work, exclusions, third-party charges, the fee, term, and service expectations. Enhancements are separately scoped. If your team will maintain the application, we agree handoff and training explicitly.
How we work
- DiscoverAgree the problem, the first useful version, success criteria, and how improvements will be measured. Discovery may stand alone.
- Prototype and buildReview a prototype before expanding scope. Build and test the agreed functions.
- Release and supportRelease only with approval, then hand over and begin the agreed care or internal-maintenance plan.
Clear scope, from the start.
Agree integrations, environment, testing coverage, review rounds, training, ownership, support period, and the change process. Unlisted integrations, unlimited features, 24/7 support, and security or compliance guarantees are not implied. You retain HR, legal, privacy, and employment decisions.
AI-assisted development, without requiring AI features
I use AI-assisted development. Your finished application can run without AI features; we clarify your policies, data requirements and intended functionality before scoping.
A focused problem, accountable owner, usable inputs, and realistic timing are a good starting point. Budget can be explored in discovery.
Discuss an applicationExamples span compensation and job architecture, recognition platforms, and association membership. Job Architecture Matcher and The Grove are demonstrations, not claims of deployed client results.
